Lac du Bonnet District Health Center, established in the 1970s, is one of very few health centers in Manitoba. The center reflects a broad and comprehensive concept of health care and represents an important departure from dependency on curative treatment oriented medicine.
Employees at the health center include a Wellness Facilitator, a Public Health Nurse, a Clinic Nurse, a Social Worker, a Home Care Coordinator and a Resource Coordinator, Baby First Coordinator and Healthy Baby Coordinator.
Healthy Baby Drop-Ins are held every second Wednesday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The program is continuous entry and open to all pregnant women, mothers with babies under one year, partners and support persons.
